DESCRIPTION:
French, Vincenti & Cie, 8-day time & gong strike, 4-glass crystal regular, in a smaller than usual size, and with porcelain dial having polychrome floral decorations, and the inscription "Long" & Boston, c.1900.
CONDITION:
brass case has oxidation and needs polishing.. Original porcelain dial has some minor roughness at the strike side winding arbor. Hands are original. The beveled glass panel on the back door has a small chip on lower corner. The rest of the beveled glass panels are fine. Movement is signed, with Vincenti award medallion for year 1855. Orig 2-vial pendulum is intact. Ht 8.75"
